 Haltwhistle is a small Northumbrian market town, with a population of about 3,500, lying only five miles from the Cumbrian border. It stands on the north bank of the beautiful South Tyne River. Just off the A69, Haltwhistle is 21 miles from Carlisle and 36 miles from Newcastle. As a touring centre the town is superbly situated for visits to all the principal Roman sites.

Haltwhistle Swimming & Leisure Centre is accessed from Westgate (Main Street) via Aesica Road, Banks Terrace/Greenholme Road into the car park we share with Haltwhistle First School.
